The curiosity of watching how the inside of a VR looks is never ending. My friends always ask me to take off the headset and give it to them as they don’t really know what’s going on inside. So, I thought why not just use the cast feature to let them enjoy what I am enjoying?
Exactly this is how I found out the way to enjoy Oculus Quest 2 content with my own family and friends. Just turn on the screen casting mode and let them watch what it’s like to enjoy VR gaming.
Before we move on there are two ways to begin casting:
- From the Headset
- From the Oculus App
Both Samsung and Apple TV devices use airplay and are always ready cast from any compatible device.
It’s better and amazing to cast your oculus quest 2 if you have a 4K capable TV, the quality and the details will blow your Mind.
But please make sure the headset and the TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
How to begin casting from the Headset?
The headset offers direct casting that requires only a few clicks. Turn your TV on and Wear your Headset.
- From the Home menu
- Click Sharing
- Select Casting
- Choose the name of your Samsung TV
- Done, it’s that simple
How to begin casting from the Oculus App?
Keep the TV on and connect your Oculus Quest 2 with the App to begin casting.
- Go to the Oculus app
- Click the Casting button in the top right corner
- Click on your TV name
- Then, you’ll get a confirmation message in your headset
- Click accept and you’re done
Can I cast to my Samsung smart TV without internet?
The basic point of beginning the casting is to make sure both devices are on the same network. So, its not possible to cast your Samsung smart TV without internet.
Even if you own Amazon firestick TV you need WiFi to connect it with the Oculus Quest 2.
How do I know if my Samsung TV has casting?
If you have an Smart Android Samsung TV, the casting feature is already built in to the TV. If you go to your TV setting and search for the cast, you’ll see the cast setting.
